A comforting and flavorful seafood dish featuring tender shrimp in a rich, creamy sauce that’s perfect for sharing.
Shrimp – 500 g (1.1 lb), peeled and deveined
Mixed seafood – 300 g (10.5 oz)
Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
Unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons
Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped
Garlic cloves – 4, minced
All-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons
Seafood or vegetable broth – 240 ml (1 cup)
Heavy cream – 360 ml (1½ cups)
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
Paprika – 1 teaspoon
Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon
Fresh parsley – 2 tablespoons, chopped
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp for about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining olive oil and butter, then sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook briefly.
Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add broth and cream, stirring until smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Simmer gently for 5 minutes.
Return shrimp and seafood to the pan and cook until tender. Garnish with parsley and serve.
