A warm and comforting seafood dish made with tender shrimp, sweet crab, and melted cheese baked on flaky biscuit halves.
1 can (16 oz / 450 g) refrigerated biscuit dough, halved
8 oz (225 g) raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, chopped
8 oz (225 g) crab meat
1 cup (240 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet. Arrange biscuit halves cut-side up.
Cook shrimp in 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat until pink. Set aside.
Melt remaining butter, add garlic, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk until thickened.
Stir in cream cheese and shredded cheeses until smooth.
Fold in shrimp, crab, lemon juice, parsley, and seasonings.
Spoon mixture over biscuits and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
For best results, serve warm and handle crab meat gently to keep tender pieces intact.
