Ingredients

·         1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

·         1/2 teaspoon salt

·         1/4 teaspoon black pepper

·         1/2 cup cornstarch

·         1 large egg, beaten

·         1/2 cup all-purpose flour

·         Vegetable oil, for frying

·         1/2 cup walnut halves

·         1/4 cup granulated sugar

·         1 tablespoon water

·         1/4 cup mayonnaise

·         3 tablespoons honey

·         1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk

·         1 teaspoon lemon juice

·         Optional: chopped green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

1.      In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Add walnuts and cook until coated and glossy. Cool on parchment paper.

2.      Whisk together mayonnaise, honey, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice. Set aside.

3.      Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Set up a breading station: flour → egg → cornstarch.

4.      Heat vegetable oil to 350°F and fry shrimp in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

5.      Toss fried shrimp with honey sauce in a large bowl. Add candied walnuts and gently combine.

6.      Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

·         Fry shrimp in small batches to maintain crispiness.

·         Pat shrimp dry before battering for best results.

·         Adjust honey and condensed milk for a sweeter or milder sauce
